Another specialist commercial for Mathematic's CG team, we worked on all the CG in Maya using particles and even developed our own scripts to achieve the disappearing sand effect. We also took part in the FX supervision on the live action set in South Africa which you can see on our blog.
With regards to the CG development we did, here are a couple of particle tests we did prior to shooting...
